Subject: Tracy from Iowa birthmother

Hi everyone -
Just wanted to warn people about a birth mother we were working with
named Tracy who is from Iowa.
She has 2 boys she is parenting and has placed 9 or 10 other children.
We were working with her through a facilitator and when we questioned
some of the stories we were being told (they always involved her needed
more money) she dumped us as the parents.
She is due on Dec. 15 in Iowa as far as we know. I've also heard but
not confirmed that she was working with another family who she got over
$20,000 from. We were very gengerous with her and we didnt deserve this at under any
circumstances. Be careful!

That is so horrible. I hate when people try to take advantage of other people on such an emotional issue. It makes me sick. mad.gif

Interesting. I was told by someone who adopted two children that it is completely optional if someone wants to help the birth mother. Obviously they can bail if you decide not to give assistance. On the other hand, if you have any questions about the birth mother it is probably better to avoid giving her any money at all. At least then someone isn't out an additional 5,000 dollars. If the birth mother seems legit and truly out for the best interest of her child, then maybe help isn't out of the question. Thanks for the post.
